Who publishes this
Cowpea Seeds is published by North Coast AI LLC. It collects what land-grant university extension services and experiment stations print about southern pea varieties, planting and types, quotes it word for word and links every quote. We don't sell seed, take no payment from seed companies, and aren't affiliated with any university.
Method
Our checker re-fetches every source and confirms each quote still appears word for word (ignoring only spacing, letter case, quote-mark style and hyphens broken across lines). The site won't build if a quote is missing, or if a table cell on a variety page isn't printed in its own source quote. Variety rows keep each source's own name and wording; where several sources describe the same name, we group them on one variety page and say so. Sections labeled "Our reading" are our plain-language summaries of the quotes on the same page. Calculators are labeled as our arithmetic on printed figures.
Some sources are older than others; each source's own date line is shown below where it prints one. Pages were researched and built with AI assistance.
